LiuGong F-Series Excavators Set to Star at Conexpo

Chinse manufacturer LiuGong launched its new F-Series to its domestic market last September during the BICES 2019 show in Beijing, and at Conexpo in Las Vegas in March they will officially be launched to the wider market, and I for one will be keen to check them out.

The new F-series excavators have been designed to focus on the North American, Western European markets, and of course the Chinese market, while taking into account the emerging territories. Various product portfolios are provided to meet the needs of different markets.

Compared to the outgoing previous generations of excavators, the F-series excavators will have more models and size classes, including standard ones for the Chinese market and short-tail and zero-tail swing ones for the Western European and North American markets. The series has 15 product sub-platforms with over 40 size classes ranging from 1.5 to 90 tons, which covers more than 90% of the global market demand. Mini excavators of less than 6 tons are divided into more size classes. All machines are designed to meet the necessary emissions regulations.

Being intelligent, eco-friendly and efficient

The F series excavators are equipped with the latest electronically controlled hydraulic system consisting of a main pump with large displacement, a low-speed and high-torque engine and a main electro-hydraulic proportional control valve for better management of flow distribution. An intelligent cooling system is also equipped, which controls the fan speed in real time according to the temperature of water, oil and intercooler.

In line with many of manufacturers these days LiuGong’s F-series excavators feature intelligent control, intelligent monitoring, detection, prediction and remote control. The technology enables the monitoring of bucket trajectory, construction guidance, assisted excavation, automatic weighing, etc., significantly improving the working efficiency and quality and avoiding repeated operation. The excavators also feature electronic fence technology that ensures safer construction in urban areas, congested sites and when working in single lane road closures for instance.
