Ollie Get’s “Hands on” with the Latest JCB Backhoe Loaders

Ollie Gunns is a machine owner, contractor, part-time farmer, rising You Tube star and above all else a really nice bloke, so its not hard to see why JCB invited him to try out the latest backhoe loaders from the famous Staffordshire based manufacturer.

The backhoe loader for which JCB is probably most famous for, is currently enjoying something of a renaissance period as a younger generation are starting to evaluate them as a more multi-functional machine that offers high speed mobility to get from job to job without the need for expensive transport.

In many ways it feels like we are going full circle after so many years of people opting for mini and midi excavators combined with site dumpers, whereas the humble backhoe loader can do both jobs extremely well.

The backhoe loader is being taken to another level now thanks to new technologies, and the addition of work tools such as tiltrotator’s which can definitely make them even more versatile. In addition, the new Dual View concept is set to be a game changer in the way we work with backhoe loaders, by adopting a Scandinavian approach to the jobs in hand.

Ollie and a group of other online influencers spent time at the JCB quarry recently where they got to try out the new machines, and JCB have produced a nice video interview with Ollie, where he offers his well-educated thoughts on the concept, which are very relevant because he actually runs a 3CX in his machinery fleet, check out the video below.
