Owen Mays adds a bit of Yellow & Grey to his Fleet

Our good friend and staunch Takeuchi red & grey man Owen Mays has added a larger machine to his growing fleet.

We all know Owen is a big fan of the Takeuchi machines, but recently he has seen the need to add a bigger excavator to cope with new contracts that he is undertaking.

Sadly, in the absence of anything over 15-tonnes in the Takeuchi range, Owen has been forced to invest in another manufacturers machine and having done his research, he has purchased used low houred 20-tonne Volvo EC200E L.

This machine is in exceptional condition with only 900 hours on the meter and already came equipped with Trimble Earthworks.

Naturally Owen wanted to make the all-important addition of an Engcon tiltrotator to fall in line with other excavators in his fleet, and as I write this post, the new addition is already out to work.

Its great to see this Owen’s business expanding and during a good online chat, we spoke about the dream of potentially one day seeing a Takeuchi 20-tonne machine being added to the range. I think it could be a long wait, but you never know in this game and it would certainly be a dream addition for Owen.
