Royal Cornwall Show 2024 : Finale

Checking out with our last post show report from the Royal Cornwall Show 2024.

Royal Cornwall Show 2024 : Finale

As I visited the show on a Saturday this year, for one day only, it was all rather hectic, and sadly I didn’t get around to see everyone I wanted to see, so apologies to those whose stand I didn’t make it to, hopefully that will be rectified next year!

MH Groundworks

Helston based family run business MH Groundworks have been established for over 17 years and work on a wide variety of projects all over Cornwall and the South West.

It’s a multi-faceted business and as well as general groundworks and civil engineering, and agricultural contracting, they also run a haulage fleet, and plant hire too, running machines from a variety of manufacturers including JCB, Kobelco and Sany to name a few.

The company have also been long standing adopters of the tiltrotator concept, running Swedish built Rototilt units on their own machines since 2016.

With a wealth of knowledge gained as tiltrotator end users, just over a year ago they were appointed as official Rototilt dealers for the South West. At the show they had examples of the latest models available mounted on their own machines, and the team reported a lot of interest from visitors to the stand.

One Point Survey

Exeter based One Point Survey Equipment were making their first dedicated appearance at the Royal Cornwall Show with their stand ideally located just opposite the Holt JCB stand.

The company was displaying a wide range of Leica Geosystems surveying equipment and also demonstrating the Leica MC1 machine control system, examples of which were fitted into a variety of machines on the stand from a number of their valuable customers including, MJL Group, Porteous Groundworks and Courtney King Plant Hire, with support from dealers Kellands Plant Sales, Holt JCB and M&M Plant Devon & Cornwall Ltd.

My great friend and industry colleague Peter Haddock was also attending his first Royal Cornwall Show, and was on hand to have a video interview with One Point Surveys machine control specialist Rob Elliott which you can see below.

Until next year, its over and out from the Royal Cornwall Show!
