Wacker Neuson’s Big Boy Lands in the South West
Following my return from Sweden, I was delighted to receive a message via our Instagram account to pop down to M&M Plant Devon & Cornwall Ltd’s facility in Cornwall to checkout a new stock arrival.
M&M Plant Managing Director Bruce Bellamy was clearly buzzing as he introduced me to the new DV125 Dual View site dumper, which was the first example of this model, the largest in the Wacker Neuson Dual View range, to arrive in the South West.
Signifying the power of social media, Bruce said that within hours of putting a post up about the new machine, they had received no less than 3 orders for DV125’s and a lot more interest from potential customers.
Wacker Neuson’s Dual View concept has without doubt been a game changer for the site dumper sector, and this new model takes it to a whole new level.
The DV125 features a payload of 12,500kgs, bridging the gap between a 10-tonne class site dumper and a small ADT, the DV125 is, according to Wacker Neuson, a real alternative to trucks across a wide variety of material handling applications.
I liken it to a DV90 on steroids, its certainly a well built and 'beefy' looking piece of kit. The machine is fitted with a whole host of safety features, including, inclination monitoring, skip grille, hill-hold function, and laminated safety glass to name a few.
The new machine has big capacity but with a compact design, and with the 180-degree rotational operator’s seat in the dual drive, the driver is ensured to have the best visibility in class when driving the machine, especially important when manoeuvring, for loading and unloading on increasingly tight job sites. This machine will more than likely be competing against the likes of Mecalac's Revotruck offering and Hydrema's 912 models but one would imagine more competitively priced.
We thank the team at M&M Plant for inviting me down to see the new machine, checkout our walkaround video below.
