Bobcat Continue to push the Boundaries

The innovation team at Bobcat are a clever bunch, continually coming up with grounbreaking ideas and concepts, some of the latest examples were seen at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas, but one idea that really sticks in my mind was revealed towards the end of 2021.

MaxControl is Bobcat’s Remote Operation solution, in the form of an iOS app which can be downloaded, to enable the end user to operate his machines from a distance via the mobile phone or similar device.

In 2022 during a visit to the Bobcat facility in Dobris, we actually saw this being demonstrated by one of the members of the innovation team, and it really blew my mind. The potential possibilities are endless.

For instance, what would have once been a two-man job, can now be done by one man sat in a mini excavator, who can control an additional machine like a skid steer loader to take material away from the digger, cutting down on costly labour and reducing time on the jobsite.

The team at Bobcat’s dedicated Innovation Centre in Dobris, Czech Republic, are constantly working to bring out new concepts and ideas, it will be interesting to see what they have in store for us next!
