Lord Muck gets “Hands On” with the JCB Backhoe Loader

Our good friend and You Tube sensation Kurt Mills, aka Lord Muck, was recently invited up to the JCB quarry along with other operators, content creators and influencers for a backhoe loader focused test drive event.

JCB’s most famous and iconic machine the backhoe loader is making a resurgence in the market place at the moment, as a new generation of operators and cash savvy end users are seeing the benefits that these extremely versatile machines can offer in the right hands.

The launch of JCB’s new Dual Drive feature is without doubt a game changer and those of us who have tried it have been blown away with the system. It enables you to be a whole lot more flexible in the way you work, without the tiring action of spinning the seat around 100’s of times a day. Now everything is at your finger-tips, speeding up the whole work process, enabling you to get more work done with less movement in the cab.

I had tried the new set-up some week previous to this event and was very impressed with it all, and its definitely the way forward with these machines.

Of course, the Swedish Huddig’s and Finnish built Lännen machines have had this feature for many years, but its now great to see the Scandinavian approach being incorporated into this great British product.
