Machine man gets personal with JCB’s silver beauty
Regular reader of my original digger blog, Scott Hastings, was a lucky man today, whilst delivering to JCB’s world headquarters; he was given an opportunity to see a stunning looking piece of JCB’s history.
Lifelong machine operator Scott Hastings, is currently taking a sabbatical from the levers as he helps out with the family’s courier & light haulage business. Today he was delivering some parcels to JCB’s World Headquarters in Staffordshire, and having read about the silver liveried one millionth machine here on the Digger Man Blog, Scott was keen to pay a visit to the reception area to see this splendid looking excavator for himself.
As reported earlier this week, this 22 tonne JS220LC hydraulic excavator, is the actual one millionth machine to be manufactured by JCB in its 67 year history, an amazing milestone for a truly iconic British business.
The stunning shimmering silver machine, which is flanked in the showroom by JCB lighting towers, is certainly gaining a lot of interest on the internet, and we are delighted to have been offered these unique photos to share with our readers here on the Digger Man Blog.
